This week, Jaime and Gabe were joined by Amanda from ProChoiceCats.com. They discussed Tuesday’s meeting of the Columbus City Council to hear testimony on Ordinance 1458, which will provide protection for health care workers and patients to access reproductive health care facilities. Council members Mitchell Brown, Elizabeth Brown, Pricilla Tyson, Shannon Hardin, & Jaiza Page listened to 90 minutes of statements from proponents, including Jaime and Amanda.

The hearing was covered by WCMH/NBC4 and WSYX/ABC6 in Columbus.

The hearing was also a venue for regular abortion opponents who frequently protest outside clinics in Columbus. Mark Harrington from Created Equal, Dave Daubenmire, and PersonhoodOhio’s Elizabeth Johnston all testified in support of their ability to continue to harass abortion clinic patients and staff.
