This week, Jaime and Gabe are joined by our newest staff member, Vashitta Johnson! Vashitta is our Field and Political Director, a new position that NARAL Pro-Choice Ohio is adding to increase our capacity for political and electoral work across the state.
We start with the news that our Field Organizer Randi Gregory has left us. Randi has accepted a position with SPARK, an excellent reproductive justice organization doing work in the South. While we’re very sad to lose our outstanding field organizer, we know she’s making a great step forward in her career as their new Director of Programs!
This Wednesday was the Roe Together Statehouse Advocacy Day, and it was terrific. We heard from Rep. Stephanie Howse and Rep. Brigid Kelly in our morning session. Later, we rallied on the Statehouse steps to hear from House Minority Leader Fred Strahorn, Sen. Joe Schiavoni, Senate Minority Leader Kenny Yuko, Sen. Charleta Tavares, and Sen. Sean O’Brien. We were also joined at the rally by Sen. Cecil Thomas, Rep. Kent Smith, and Rep. Kristin Boggs.
Join NARAL Pro-Choice Ohio at a LGBTQ Pride festival near you. Mark your calendars for these dates, and look for more info on volunteering coming soon.

NARAL’s The Morning After is a production of NARAL Pro-Choice Ohio.
Help build a pro-choice Ohio. Every day, NARAL Pro-Choice Ohio fights to protect access to the full range of reproductive health care options—including preventing unintended pregnancy, bearing healthy children, and safe & legal abortion care. We educate the public about the real threat to women’s healthcare posed by anti-choice legislation and policies. We mobilize pro-choice Ohioans to take political action to defend reproductive rights. And we are the voice for Ohio’s abortion clinics, helping them navigate the increasingly hostile climate created by extremist groups. But we need your help. As a member organization, we rely on your financial support to fund our important legislative, educational, and grassroots activities.
