Starting 2016 with a shout: Hillary for President

NARAL’s The Morning After is on iTunes! Find our Podcast here: http://bit.ly/naralpodcast

For the first show of the year, Randi, Annie, and Gabe have a lot to discuss.

Hillary Clinton was endorsed for president by NARAL Pro-Choice America PAC. Our first That’s What She Said award of 2016 goes to NARAL’s national president, Ilyse Hogue. She wrote a Top 5 list of reasons to support Hillary.

Democratic National Committee Debbie Wasserman Schultz stirred things up in a New York Times interview, calling younger generations “complacent” on abortion rights.

Congress voted to restrict Obamacare and defund Planned Parenthood. The Republican members from Ohio all voted for the bill, and they get our Walk of Shame for the week.

Mike DeWine was in the news twice: he lost his lawsuit challenging Obamacare, and then announced he was dropping his pursuit of Planned Parenthood he started in November. If he’s giving up, that means his attack was purely political, right?

NARAL’s The Morning After is a production of NARAL Pro-Choice Ohio.

Help build a pro-choice Ohio. Every day, NARAL Pro-Choice Ohio fights to protect access to the full range of reproductive health care options—including preventing unintended pregnancy, bearing healthy children, and safe & legal abortion care. We educate the public about the real threat to women’s healthcare posed by anti-choice legislation and policies. We mobilize pro-choice Ohioans to take political action to defend reproductive rights. And we are the voice for Ohio’s abortion clinics, helping them navigate the increasingly hostile climate created by extremist groups. But we need your help. As a member organization, we rely on your financial support to fund our important legislative, educational, and grassroots activities.
